"Peaches and pears are mild on the nose. Tight bubbles are intense and piquant in the mouth, complementing the mineral forward flavors with bright lemon and lime zest and pear skin characteristics. Overall crisp and clean." 96 Points, Ultimate Wine Challenge 2016 Chairman's Trophy, Great Value
The Mionetto Prosecco Brut has an intense fruity bouquet with a hint of golden apples. It is very dry, fresh, light in body and well-balanced.
Here is a Brut Prosecco with an immediate and fresh delivery of citrus, white stone, dried herbs and a subtle touch of white pepper. The aromas are what you should expect from an informal, easy-drinking sparkling wine and the bubbles are tonic and firm.
Mionetto's NV Prosecco Brut is a solid, reliable offering with good varietal character and balance. Still, it would be nice to see this large house make more ambitious wines. I recently saw Mionetto's Prosecco being poured in one of Manhattan's most fashionable hotel bars and couldn't help thinking that Prosecco can be so much more. If the region's top producers are truly serious about protecting the integrity of the Prosecco brand, the first place to start is by putting a higher quality product in the bottle. This is Lot: L10099. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2011.
A minerally nose turns to dry lemon peel character on the palate. Very dry, with a tight fizz and a crisp finish.
